President Obama Skateboards to Freedom
They were relentless. A mob in hot pursuit as I burst from the town hall being held right here at the capital building. Like something out of a Richard Lester movie. Were they adorers or critics? It was a hard day’s night and i needed some help. From my backpack I pulled out the presidential skateboard provided by the good Americans at Zazzle. I grinded my way down the railings of the capital steps and made for the mall. The mob was tenacious but I was hoping for a change. Kick, push. Kick, push. Kick, push. Coast. I made the Lincoln Memorial and mounted a forward kick flip over my fellow Illinoian. There I was. Hands reaching out to Abe’s beard. My feet and ‘Super-Obama’ custom deck facing the sky like Icarus. Gliding through space. And then I stick the landing.
