Who knows, maybe some political personae will show up on the haunted stump trail. Barack Obama Rocks the Votive

There are those people who cynically, sneeringly refer to the President as Jesus or things of that sort. There are those people who enthusiastically refer to the President as Jesus or things of that sort. Those two camps can now express their deification of Mr. Obama through the miracle of the votive candle. Votive candles are those drinking glass like vessels that are festooned with the images of saints or the Virgin Mary that adorn churches or the alters and shrines within the homes of the devout. The San Francisco area dealer of novelties called Just for Fun card and novelty shop is making these gifts for the faithful available although not without some outcry from the local religious community. We’re not sure if this is truly in bad taste but it probably would have been more respectable if they had made a version depicting the President as Superman – which we all know that he is.

Blackshear Renders Obama Statuesquely

Got an unsued grotto in you home? Or maybe a pedestal? Artist and sculptor, Thomas Blackshear, maker of collectable art, has just the thing for you. The Barack Obama Figurine. This stately figure is rendered with incredible, life like detail. So real that you may be confused that the esteemed first citizen is really presiding over your home or office. Keep your home secret service detail up to date, though. Certain parties on the right are probably developing a figurine defacement kit even as we quip.

Obama Looking a Little Fishy Thanks to Sushi Chef

From Japan, word comes of pure sushi art by Ken Kawasumi of the Tokyo Sushi Academy. Tofugu and Inventorspot have reported on the quite elaborate spread created in honor of the president. No word on whether Mr. Obama had the pleasure of tasting the results of Mr. Kawasumi’s effort. Hopefully this won’t strain relations with Japan should that other party regain the presidency one day.

Artist of Joker Obama Image Revealed

For some time now the image of Barack Obama as the Joker from the Dark Knight movie has been making the rounds as mysteriously placed posters bearing the word ’socialism’ below the image. Crafty marketers have seized on the opportunity and have created posters, t-shirts and action figures as well as using the image as a focal point to draw attention to themselves and their blogs. Up until now, the name of the artist was not publicly know. However, the Los Angeles Times are now reporting the identity of the artist as being Firas Alkhateeb, a college student from Chicago. Alkhateeb created the image from a Time Magazine cover featurning then candidate Barack Obama on its cover and used Photoshop to create the joker effect. Alkhateeb uploaded the image to his Flickr account where it resided along side other manipulated images of various politicos and public figures. It remained relatively obscure until a still unknown source snatched the image, removing the Time Magazine aspects, placing it into the now infamous Socialism background. No word on whether Alkhateeb is seeing any royalties from the merchandising based on his work.

Painter of Pancakes Paints President, Unicorns

Artist Dan Lacey has a unique vision. Known as the Painter of Pancakes, he paints pictures of people with pancakes on their heads as well as other themes. He has turned his attention to paintings featuring President Obama riding unicorns. One or two contain pancakes. Many do not. Fierce debate over their meaning may possibly ensue.
