Recent reports here at BARACKSploitation! have pointed out the mysterious ’socialism’ posters popping up in LA and elsewhere. Those appearances fell more under the aegis of political commentary and not so much the shameless making a buck off of the popularity of the president that this sight likes to ~~exploit~~ report on.

Now, however, we find two sites that are marketing posters and t-shirts off of the image. While these sites are unwilling to claim artistic credit they certainly seem willing to claim monetary gain off of the effort. And that, my friends, is a fine bit of exploitation!

Furstenberg Totes Love for Barack

Everyone seems to love the President. Some as an agent of change and a messenger of hope, others as a merchandising opportunity and, to a grim few, a target for attack in order to drive up ratings shares. Some wear that love on their sleeves while others will sling it over their shoulders as a stylish tote. Diane von Furstenberg was one of several American designers who created official merchandise to support the Runway to Change initiative back in the campaign days. The result was a tote suitable for the inauguration ceremonies that bore the love for the candidate/preisdent.
