The second issue of Devil’s Due Publishing’s Barack The Barbarian is in stores this week. Check out the Obamarific cover art featuring the new nemesis “The Screeching Enchantress” (who looks suspiciously like Anne Coulter…hmmm). The Progressive Ruin blog picks this as a potential collectors item so be sure to find it at your local comic shop tomorrow or you’ll be buying it on ebay for twice the price!

If you don’t want to miss out on the next collectible Obama comic, you better camp out at your local comic shop tomorrow. New comics come in on Wednesdays and when they do Army of Darkness: Ash Saves Obama from Dynamite Entertainment will be among them.

Army of Darkness is, of course, the film franchise created by Sam Raimi (you know, the Spider-Man guy). Ash is, of course, the character created and played by Bruce Campbell (you know, the Burn Notice guy). Obama is, of course, the Main Man in Chief (you know, the health care re…never mind).

Get your copy tomorrow and ask for the Shepard Fairey-esque variant cover for extra collectiblity!

Much has been made about Barack Obama’s love of comics and the apparent love for the President by the comics industry and many have been the appearances by the super citizen within the pages and covers of comics. Coming Wednesday, President Obama hosts Wakandan head of state, Princess Shuri, the new Black Panther in Black Panther #7.

It’s always good policy to meet with a new leaders and establish those ever important political ties. But this is Marvel Comics, Mr. President! If the White House is attacked by Klaw or M’Baku, the Man-Ape you may long for the simpler days of shaking hands with Hugo Chavez.

Remember when we told you that Bo Obama was making noise in the comics world? Well today is the day for you to storm your local comics and snap up a copy of Marvel’s Pet Avengers #3, which features a team up with the the little first poopmaker.

“When Chris and I were putting the book together, we thought of all the cool places the PAs could go and meet other powerful animals…the moon, the Savage Land, the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, the Jurassic Era…and then we thought, well, shouldn’t they go meet the most POWERFUL animal in the world?” said series editor Nate Cosby. “Long story short, the Puppy-In-Chief plays a HUGE role in the Pet Avengers’ GREATEST BATTLE VERSUS…I’ve said too much.”

Lets take a trip to the golden age of Baracksploitation. It was October 2008 and the fate of the free world was up for grabs. Hope and change stared down mavericky and more mavericky. It was the perfect time for Presidential Material a comic flip book from IDW Publishing featuing Barack Obama on one side an John McCain on the other, only the second instance of Baracksploitation in the comics world.

There are two Barack Comics to seek out this week. The other is DRAFTED, from Devil’s Due (this publisher clearly sees the Main Man as a fighter). The story takes place in a world heeled by Alien Invaders (from space, not Mexico). America is in Shambles, kinda like Bush left it, but with more rubble. But even Martians can’t stop the Barack Obama from bringing hope to the masses. He ain’t the president here, but something more…
